My Story
I began my career in user experience design back in 2017 through a local bootcamp where I gained hands-on experience with local organizations seeking UX support. Since then I have continued to enhance my own skill set with self-motivated efforts that include a focus in user research and most recently on my UI skills.
If you are looking for a self-starter and a determined spirit — I’m your next hire.
One of my soft skills that I have found most valuable is my ability to build relationships with people both within and outside of my own team. By forging meaningful relationships across an organization, I’m able to quickly leverage the knowledge bank of internal experts to consider solutions that may optimize for both business and user needs.
On a Personal Level
A Brief Ask Me Anything! [AMA]
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I’m proud of a number of my experiences but would have to say my 2014 thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. I had no idea what I was getting myself into and sort of had to figure it out on the trail, sink-or-swim style. To this day, I make it a priority to get outside on the daily.
Why do you live in one of the coldest states in America?
Every winter I ask myself the same question [laughs] but honestly I love the extremes, so that’s probably why I’ve found it rewarding to live here with all the different intensity of seasons.
What super hero power would you wish to have bestowed on you?
I would probably to choose to be a shape shifter…but only if I can always come back to my ‘real’ self. I don’t want to be stuck as a blue person like that gal in the X-men series.
